Luka Dončić Shines With 42 Points, 13 Assists Against Heat

Luka Dončić put scoring and playmaking on full display for the Los Angeles Lakers on November 2, 2026. His 42 points, seven rebounds and 13 assists supplied the centerpiece of a 138-117 home victory over the Miami Heat, earning him the spotlight for the day’s best individual game. This was a performance with production across the box score, not just at the top of it.

Dončić shot 14-for-24 from the field and 6-for-15 from three-point range in 36 minutes. The scoring volume was substantial, but the shooting line gave it added weight: he paired a heavy perimeter workload with a strong overall night from the floor. Miami had to account for both his scoring output and his ability to create for teammates.

Those 13 assists made the performance especially compelling. Dončić was not merely finishing possessions; he was contributing directly to teammates’ scoring as well. Add seven rebounds and two steals, and his impact extended beyond the shooting numbers. He finished with zero blocks and a plus-26 mark.

The final score provided the team-level payoff. Los Angeles put up 138 points, with Dončić’s combination of scoring and distribution defining the individual spotlight. Big points, substantial playmaking and a decisive Lakers win: his night checked every headline box.
