Sacramento earned its first victory of the season, beating Dallas 115-100 behind 25 points from Darius Acuff Jr. and sharp shooting from Malik Monk and Zach LaVine.

The Sacramento Kings got their first win on the board with a 115-100 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on November 2 at American Airlines Center. Sacramento improved to 1-6, while Dallas dropped to 4-3. Darius Acuff Jr., Malik Monk and Zach LaVine supplied the scoring punch, each topping 20 points in the road win.

Acuff led Sacramento with 25 points, five rebounds and six assists in 37 minutes, shooting 10-for-21 from the field. Monk delivered 24 points and seven assists, knocking down five of eight attempts from beyond the arc. His plus-27 rating stood out as he put together an efficient 9-for-14 shooting performance in 30 minutes.

LaVine added 23 points on 8-for-14 shooting, including a 5-for-9 mark from three-point range. Leaky Black provided another perimeter boost with four threes on six attempts, finishing with 12 points and four steals. Those shooting contributions gave Sacramento plenty of production alongside Acuff’s team-leading scoring effort.

Walter Clayton Jr. and Daniel Gafford paced Dallas with 20 points apiece. Clayton hit four of five three-point attempts, while Gafford went 9-for-10 from the floor and grabbed seven rebounds. Cooper Flagg contributed 17 points, six assists and two steals, but shot 3-for-19 overall and missed all four of his threes. P.J.
