Karl-Anthony Towns delivered 21 points and 13 rebounds as New York earned a one-point road win despite Victor Wembanyama’s 29-point performance.

The New York Knicks squeezed past the San Antonio Spurs 105-104 on June 5, with Karl-Anthony Towns leading a balanced scoring effort on the road. Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges added 20 points apiece, giving New York three productive scoring options against a San Antonio team paced by Victor Wembanyama.

Towns paired his 21 points with 13 rebounds and four assists, shooting 8-for-12 from the field and 3-for-5 from beyond the arc. Bridges was similarly efficient, hitting 8 of 13 shots and 4 of 6 three-point attempts while contributing six rebounds and six assists. Towns finished with a plus-11 mark, while Bridges logged 40.88 minutes and finished plus-7.

Brunson’s shooting was a struggle: He went 7-for-25 overall and 2-for-8 from deep. But his contribution extended beyond scoring, with six assists, five rebounds and five steals. OG Anunoby supplied another 17 points on 5-for-10 shooting, adding four rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks.

Wembanyama delivered 29 points, nine rebounds and four blocks, shooting 11-for-21 in 40.32 minutes. De’Aaron Fox added 20 points and five assists while making 8 of 12 shots, including both three-point attempts. Dylan Harper contributed 15 points and six rebounds, and Devin Vassell finished with 14 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Those performances kept San Antonio close, but New York came away with the one-point victory.
